Goreme Balloonscapes

Goreme Balloon Rise featured sunrise and balloon launches photographed both from a balloon and from the terrace and roof-top of our cave hotel.
The balloon trip was fantastic, as much for the surprising scenery, as for the low flights through the astonishing valleys and rock formations. Our pilot ensured that everyone had their time at the front and got us in good position to fully enjoy where we were. It wasn't until we observed two mornings of other balloon launches and flights, two days hiking the area, and looking at those first morning photos that we realized where we had traveled. It turns out that many of the valleys were in easy walking distance from our hotel.
