Mykonos
Mykonos is another windswept, sparsely vegetated island with little rain and few residents. But its location on a major sea trade-route between Venice and Asia ensured its development. Windmills were constructed near the sea to mill grain for transport and a bustling area know as Little Venice was constructed during the 15th and 16th centuries. This is another island long on the cruise ship route for its beautiful beaches, excellent restaurants, and vibrant nightlife.
