During May, 2008, I took advantage of an opportunity to visit Bear Creek Ranch, a working ranch which includes a
spectacular part of the Ft. Worth Prairie. Owned by Dixon Water Foundation, the 1700-acre Bear Creek Ranch
has limestone glades, deep soiled tallgrass prairie and streamside forest. This particular visit was scheduled
to take advantage of the spring wildflower season.
